Iv. And now the last point is: JESUS CHRIST IS NEVER VENU BEFORE? We answer yes, because our text says: ?? And whose departures are ancient times, days of eternity? (Micah 5: 2)
First point, Christ had a departure from his divinity from the days of eternity. He had not been a secret and silent person until that moment. This newborn has worked wonders for a long time; this baby who sleeps in his mother’s arms, today he is a baby, but he is the Elder of eternity; this boy who is there has not made his first appearance on the stage of this world; His name, however, had not been written in the circumcised register; However, even if you don’t know, “departures are ancient times, days of eternity. “
- 1) From ancient times.
- He came out as our leader of the alliance during the election.
- “Did you choose us in it before the foundation of the world?”(Ephesians 1: 4).
2) He went out for his people, as their representative before the throne, even before these people were generated in the world. Is it eternity that his mighty fingers took the pen and the pen of the ages, and wrote his own name, the name of the Eternal Son of God? Is it from all eternity that you have signed the pact with your Father, in which you would pay blood for blood, wound for wound, suffering for suffering, agony for agony and death for death, for the benefit of his people? it was from eternity that it occurred, without a word, that from head to soles of feet his blood would sweat, that he would spit, pierce, mock, break in two, suffer the pain of death, and the agonies of the cross. His exits as our guarantee were eternity.
Take a break, soul, and be amazed! You have had departures in the person of Jesus since eternity. Not only when he was born in this world that Christ loved him, yet his delights were with the children of men even before the children of men existed. Did you often think of them?from eternity to eternity, he had put his affection in them. How, then, in a believer, has he been involved in your salvation for a long time and will not succeed? From eternity, He went out to save me, and He loses me now?Like, you got me in your hand, like your precious jewel, and you’re going to let it slip through your precious fingers? You chose me before the mountains were set, or the channels of the depths were sculpted, and now you’re going to lose me?Impossible!
I’m sure you won’t love me that long, right after I stop. If I had intended to be bored with myself, I would have done it a long time ago. If you had not loved me with a love as deep as hell and as inexpressible as the grave, if you had not given me all your heart, I am sure that you would have abandoned me long ago! He knew what I would be like, and had a lot of time to think about it; But I am his chosen ones, and it is final. And although I am not worthy, I have no right to complain if he is happy with me. Yet he is happy with me: should he be happy with me? because he knew me well enough to know my faults. Did you know me before you met me? yes, he knew me before I existed. Before my limbs were formed, it was written in His book: “Your eyes have seen my body still shapeless; and in your book all these things are written; which was later formed, when there was not even one. (Psalm 139: 16) His eyes of affection focused on these members. I knew how bad I was going to behave towards him and yet he still loved me:
No, since your departures are from the beginning, days of eternity, will they be?
Second, we believe that Christ has come out of men since ancient times, so that men have seen him, I will not stop to tell them that it was Jesus who walked in the Garden of Eden, outside, because his delights were with the children of men?Nor will I stop to show you all the different ways Christ left his people in the form of the covenant angel, the Easter lamb, the brass serpent, the burning bush, and ten thousand others. Guys with whom sacred history is so full? However, I prefer to show you four specific occasions when Jesus Christ our Lord appeared on earth as a man, before his great incarnation for our salvation.
And first, I pray that we may move on to chapter 18 of Genesis, where Jesus Christ appeared to Abraham, from whom we read:
“Then the Lord appeared to him in the oaks of Manré, sitting at the door of the tent in the heat of the day. And he looked up and looked, and there were three men standing beside him. And when he saw them, he ran from the door of the tent to receive him, and prostrated himself on the ground, and said, My Lord, if I have now found grace in thy eyes, I pray thee not to leave thy servant. (Genesis 18: 1- 3)
Yet to whom have you bowed? He said:? Sir? just one of them. Was there a more eminent man among them because of his glory, because he was the Christ-man-God? the other two were created angels, who had temporarily taken on the appearance of men. But was the man Jesus 😕 And he said: My Lord, if now I have found favor in your eyes, I beg you to be only your servant. Bring some water, wash your feet and lie down under this tree; (Genesis 18: 3-4) Did you notice that this majestic man, this glorious person, stopped to talk to Abraham? In verse 22 it says, “Then these men turned aside from there and went to Sodom; but Abraham was always before the face of the Lord. They observed that this man, the Lord, maintained a Gentile brotherhood with Abraham and allowed him to intercede for the city that he was about to destroy. He was positively like a man. So much so that when you walked the streets of Judea, wasn’t it the first time you were a man? Was it before, in the oaks of Manre? In the heat of the day
Is there another example: his appearance to Jacob, which we recorded in chapter 32 of Genesis, verse 24. His whole family was gone:? Jacob, however, was left alone; and a man fought with him till dawn. And when he saw that this did not prevail against him, he touched the thigh joint and moved Jacob’s thigh joint, struggling with it. And he said, Let me go, it is dawn. But he said, I won’t let you go if you don’t bless me. And I said, what’s your name? And he said, Jacob; Then he said, You will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; because as prince, did you fight God and men, and you have won?(Genesis 32: 24-28) He was a man and yet he was God. “For as a prince you fought with God and with men, and you won. “And Jacob knew that this man was God, for he said in verse 30, “I saw God face to face, and my soul was saved.
You will find another example in the book of Joshua. When Joshua crossed the lower Jordan River, entered the promised land and was about to take the Canaanites, look, that mighty God-man appeared to him!In chapter 5, verse 13, we read, “And it came to turn that when Joshua was near Jericho, he raised his eyes, and looked; and behold, a man stood before him with a sword drawn in his hand; and Joshua came up to him and said, Are you one of us or our enemies? And he said, No, but now I come as a prince of the Lord’s army. ?And Joshua immediately saw that there was divinity in Him, for he “fell upon his face on the ground and adored him, and said, “What does my lord say unto his servant? Now, if this man had been a created angel, he would have rebuked Joshua, saying, ‘I am a servant like you. But no? The prince of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, Take your shoes off your feet, for the place where you are is holy. And Joshua liked it? (Genesis 5:15)
Another remarkable example is what is recorded in the third chapter of the book of Daniel, where we read the story when Sadraque, Mesaque and Abednego are thrown into the middle of a burning furnace, and how they had reheated it. more, and how the flame of the fire killed those who had appreciated it. Suddenly the king asked his advisers, “Didn’t we throw three men into the fire?” They answered and said to the king: It is true, O king. He responded by saying: “But I see four men loose, walking through the fire, unharmed; and the appearance of the room is similar to that of the Son of God. (Daniel 3: 24-25. ) How could Nebuchadnezzar know this? Just because there was something so noble and majestic in the way this wonderful man carried himself, and a terrible influence surrounded him, he beautifully broke the devouring teeth of this devouring and destructive flame. , so that he could not even burn the children of God. Nebuchadnezzar recognized his humanity. I did not say, “I see three men and an angel,” but I said, “I really see four men, and the shape of the fourth is like the Son of God? Come then, which means His exits are. ” days of eternity. “
Notice here for a moment that each of these four events followed the Saints when they were engaged in very eminent duties, or when they were about to get involved. Jesus Christ does not appear to His Saints every day. Jacob until he was distraught? He did not visit Joshua until he was about to engage in a holy war. It is only in extraordinary conditions that Christ manifests himself in this way to his people
When Abraham interceded for Sodom, Jesus was with him, because one of the highest and noblest works of a Christian is that of intercession, and it is when he is committed in this way that he is likely to obtain a vision of Christ. involved in the fight and is it part of a Christian’s duty that some of you have never experienced?therefore, he does not have many visits from Jesus, that is when Joshua made use of his courage that the Lord found him. with Sadraque, Meshach, and Abednego?they were in the high places of persecution for their attachment to duty, when he approached them and said, “I will be with you, passing through the fire. “
There are some special places we must enter to meet the Lord. We must be in great trouble, like Jacob; we must be in the middle of a great job, like Joshua; we must have a great faith of intercession like Abraham; Should we be firm in the performance of a duty, such as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego?Otherwise we will not know him, whose departures are ancient times, days of eternity; or, if we know him, we will not be able to understand, with all the saints, what width, length, height, and depth (Ephesians 3:18)
Sweet Lord Jesus! You, whose departures had been from the beginning, from the days of eternity, You who, however, did not abandon Your outings. Oh, let you go out today to encourage the shy, to help the tired, to heal our wounds, to comfort our afflictions!I went out, we pleaded with you, to overcome sinners, to subdue hardened hearts, to break the iron gates of your sins and to tear them to pieces!Oh, my God! Leaves; And when you get out, come and see me, am I a cobbled sinner?Come to me; I need you:
Poor sinner! Christ didn’t stop leaving. And when you leave, remember, go to Belém, do you have a Bethlehem in your heart? Is it small? Then he’ll come out for you. Go home and look for it with a heartfelt prayer. If you have been made to cry for sin and feel too small to be seen, go home, child, Jesus comes to the little ones; his exits are from the beginning and he leaves now, will he come to your poor old house? Will it reach your poor, unhappy heart? It will come, even if you are in poverty and covered in rags; even if you’re helpless, tormented and distressed? He will come, for his departures have been made from the beginning, from the days of eternity. Trust in Him, trust in Him, trust In Him; and it will come out and dwell in your heart for all eternity.
