Questions
Dear VE Brothers!
- God began a process in my life to reveal Himself through Christ in a church in.
- A.
- However.
- During this time.
- This institution has begun to develop and we have seen leaders clearly depart from the centrality of the word of God.
One of the reasons for this increase in membership is the result of a humanist theology that has sneaked in, attracting many people, as “services”, chants and preaching aimed to “comfort”, please and benefit people in their carnalities and difficulties. In other words, we followed a line of singing and preaching things that people wanted to hear that attracted a lot of people.
As a result of this increase in membership, many people came from other denominations, mainly neopentecosals, and, without any caution from leaders, these people began leading basic Church ministries, such as worship, couples. young people. Thus we perceive a huge and intense transformation of this institution. Some people who have noticed this detour from speech are already gone, others simply don’t get together, and others, like us, don’t know what to do.
Our situation is complicated, because this institution is against this blatant distortion of the Gospel, such as prosperity, but it does not realize that humanism, liberalism, and this mixed neopentecostal line are slowly destroying God’s image and Christ’s work. We have already passed full services, not to mention Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. As in preaching that uses texts only to teach morality, how to be like David and according to the heart of God!
The impression we have is that we are a Macedonian, without doctrine or defined theological orientation, because the objectives are numerous. Sometimes I feel like we have ecumenical encounters!
However, did God (I also have my faith in this) begin to awaken some people? Is the minority true? For the return to the true gospel and the centrality of the word of God through explanatory preaching and theological chants with biblical coherence. to discipline us and direct us towards the doctrines of grace, towards the preaching of human depravity, and also towards the doctrine of choice. We are looking for materials, such as on your blog and elsewhere, exclusively renovated, to support us in this congregation. We we weep and weep at the see of these distortions, and at the same time we feel unable to rise as we begin to seek out and understand little about this biblical reform that needs to be done.
So I’d like to ask, if possible, for an opinion on what to do
We doubt that we will stay in this institution, under this humanistic leadership and that has opened doors to the neo-Pentecostals, who fight for reform, and there have already been some discussions, or else, we have gone to another leadership and congregation that can. Help us and feed us properly!
Peace and grace.
? I command you, before God and Christ Jesus, that you will judge the living and the dead by their manifestation and by their kingdom: preach the word, exhort, whether appropriate or not, correct, rebuke, exhort with all patience and doctrine. . For there will be a time when they will not endure sound doctrine; on the contrary, they will surround themselves with teachers according to their own lusts, such as itching in their ears; and they will refuse to listen to the truth, giving in to fables; but you, be sober in everything, endure afflictions, do the work of evangelist, fully fulfill your ministry. TIMOTE II 4: 1-5
His testimony is, on the one hand, encouraging, because God has given him the grace to seek the truth of the cross, on the other hand, a little painful, because the people of his congregation embrace these doctrines devoid of the cross of God. Christ.
The first step is to take care of your growth that is happening now, this awakening to the truths of God’s grace. As Paul counseled Timothy, “take care of yourself and doctrine. “I Timothy 4:16, so also take care, at this moment, of its maturation and its improvement in faith. As much as you may be upset about the situation of the local church, it will only be of some use to God if he walks in the Spirit, showing his fruits (Gal 5. 22-25).
Now it is necessary for the Lord’s servant not to live to fight, but to be kind to all, able to instruct, patiently, to gently discipline those who oppose them, in the hope that God will grant them not only repentance to fully know the truth, but also to return to wisdom, to free themselves from the bonds of the devil , to have been taken captive by him to do his will (II Timothy 2:24-26).
As you said in your email, some discussions have already taken place, and one thing you should avoid as much as possible is to discuss them.
Meekness or goodness is necessary in this situation, and always keep in mind that the reaction of such people is motivated by a lack of conformity with the character of Christ, and at this moment it is necessary to win them for Christ, and you by the grace of God must manifest the character of Christ right now, they need to see Christ in you (Mt 5:9; Rom 12. 9-21).
Each question should be guided by the scriptures, no matter what you are asked, always, always and always begins with the Word and not with your arguments. Make it clear that everything you do and say is based on the scriptures. Patience and meekness will, be your teaching tools.

If someone opposes the preaching of the Cross, can that person be listed as an enemy of the Cross of Christ as Paul says in Philippians 3:18, or as Paul says in Timothy II 2:26?But also the return to wisdom, obtaining freed from the bonds of the devil, having been taken captive by him, to fulfill his will. ?
The foolishness of these to oppose the preaching of the Cross of Christ is because they are captive of the devil, to do their will, and it is only the Word and prayer to be resolved, pray, intercede for them before God. , praying that God will grant you repentance and a return to wisdom.
I’m not telling you to leave, because it’s a very private thing between you and God, but what I can say is that they love each of them, not their practices, but just to love them. with them, get out.
Is it in situations like this that God gives us more faith in Him? We begin to pray more and depend more on Him. It only serves to form you and make you more of a Christian. Ask God for wisdom (Jacq 1. 5).
May the Lord be glorified through you
