Verse of the day: Therefore, do not renounce your trust; She has a good reward (Hebrews 10. 35).
We must reflect on God’s superiority as our greatest reward for all that the world has to offer; otherwise, we will love the world and live like everyone else.
- So think about the things that govern the world and consider how much better and more permanent God is.
- Meditate on money.
- Sex.
- Or power and think of them in relation to death.
- Death will end with each of them.
- If you live for it.
- You won’t get much and what you have.
- You’ll lose it.
However, God’s treasure is permanent. He stays, he goes beyond death. It’s better than money, because God owns all the money and he’s our Father. Is it all yours, and you are of Christ, and of Christ, of God?(1 Corinthians 3: 22-23).
It’s better than sex. Jesus never had sex and was the most complete and complete human being that would ever exist. Is sex a shadow? An image, a greater reality, a relationship and a pleasure that will make sex look like a yawn.
God’s reward is better than power. There is no greater human power than being a son of Almighty God. “Don’t you know we’ll judge the angels themselves?” (1 Corinthians 6. 3).
And so on. As for all that the world has to offer, God is better and more permanent.
There’s no comparison. God always wins. The question is: will we have God, will we wake up from the ecstasy of this paralyzing world and see, believe, rejoice, and love?
