August 9th? The gospel

The purpose of the gospel

Verse of the day: Soon, much more now, being justified by his blood, we will be saved from anger by him; because if we, the enemies, were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, being already reconciled. , we will be saved by his life; and not only this, but we also glorify ourselves in God by our Lord Jesus Christ, for whom we now receive reconciliation (Romans 5. 9-11).

  • What do we need to be saved from? Verse 9 says this clearly: of God’s wrath.
  • But is it the highest.
  • Best.
  • Most complete.
  • And most satisfying price of the gospel?.

Verse 10 says, “How much more will we be saved for your life?”Then verse 11 leads to the goal when it says, “Not only this, but we also glorify ourselves in God. “

This is the purpose and greatest good of the good news. Isn’t there another one, not just that? After that. Only Paul says how we come to this end: “by our Lord Jesus Christ, for whom we now receive reconciliation. “

The purpose of the gospel is for us to glorify ourselves in God. The supreme, fuller, deeper and sweeter good of the gospel is God Himself, appreciated by His redeemed people.

God in Christ became the prize (Romans 5. 6-8) and God in Christ became the prize (Romans 5. 11).

The gospel is the good news that God has bought us eternal pleasure in God.
