Verse of the day: A voice of weeping will never be heard in it again (Isaiah 65:19).
The glorified do not cry anymore, because all the causes of lamentation have disappeared. In heaven, there is no broken friendship or frustrated prospect. Poverty, mockery, persecution, hunger, danger are unknown in heaven. No pain afflicts; no thought of death or deprivation afflicts. The glorified never cry again, because they are completely sanctified. No unbelieving heart makes you turn away from the living God (see Hebrews 3:12). They stand blameless before the throne of God, fully conformed to the image of Christ. No wonder they stop crying, because they no longer sin. The glorified no longer cry, because all fear of change is over. They know they are safe for eternity. Sin is on the outside; and they, in heaven itself. They live in a city that will never be shaken. The glorified enjoy the light of a sun that never sets. They drink from a river that never runs dry and harvest the fruits of a tree that will never wither. As long as eternity lasts, there will be immortality and the happiness of the glorified. They are with the Lord forever. They no longer cry, because all their wishes have been fulfilled. It is not possible that they want something that they do not yet have. Eyes, ears, heart and hand; judgment, imagination, hope, desire, and all faculties are fully satisfied. Although our ideas of what God has prepared for those who love him are imperfect, we know enough, from the revelation of the Holy Spirit, to recognize that the saints in glory are exceedingly blessed. The joy of Christ, which is an infinite fullness of pleasure, is in them. They bathe in the sea of happiness, which has no bottom or port. This same blissful rest is ready for us, and it may not be far off. Soon the tears of sadness will turn into pearls of eternal bliss. “So take comfort in these words?” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
