Are you afraid of one enjoyed?

On August 17, 2012, my wife suffered an almost fatal bicycle accident. At first we didn’t know if he would survive and in the weeks that follow, we didn’t know what his future mental abilities would be. Lord almost completely restored it to what it was before the accident.

This accident has personalized for me a real fear that we all feel, that is, the fear of losing our wife or children to death How will we live without them?Christian parents, in particular, fear that their children will never reach the faith and can hardly bear the thought of their children suffering in hell forever.

What antidotes do we have against the fear of loss?I’d like to suggest three:

Immerse yourself in God’s love

We must begin by remembering the gospel. We deserve the wrath of God, because we worship in the place of our creator and refuse to give him grace and glory (Romans 1:18-25). Are we by nature children of anger? And in Adam we give ourselves to the desires of the flesh, to the pleasures of this world, and to Satan, as prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:1-3). How we were loved! Our God is rich in mercy and poured out his love upon us, invigorating us when we were dead in our mistakes and sins (2. 4-5). He did not send his son to condemn us, but to save us (John 3:16-18) Is it not an abstract or impersonal word either:[He] loved me and gave himself up for me? (Gal 2. 20).

If God loves us so much, if He has forgiven us our sins and our rebellion, if He has cleansed us of all injustice (1 John 1. 9), then we have nothing to fear. As the Apostle Paul explains, there is no loss in this world that compares to the joy of winning Christ (Phil 3:7-9). All the sufferings and sufferings we face can be endured because we know that God loves us with inextinguishable love in all circumstances.

Being rooted in God’s sovereignty

It’s not just that God loves us. He also rules over all things; The Lord announces the end from the beginning, and His designs and counsels will stand (Is 46:9-10). Nothing can enter our lives without his sovereign will, for he reigns over the place. (Prov. 16. 33). This means that at the end of the day, there is no accident. No ruler or authority can harm us, for the Lord bows the hearts of kings as he wills (21. 1). “In heaven is our God and he does what he wants. “(Salt 115,3). ” It contradicts the designs of nations and nullifies the intentions of peoples” (33. 10).

Jesus teaches that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without God’s will (Mt 10:29). If you take care of sparrows, also take care of the hairs on our heads (v. 30). I received great comfort with these verses, because if sparrows do not fall to the ground without God, neither do cyclists. My wife was in God’s hands when her head hit the sidewalk. I’m not saying that dealing with the situation was easy, and I hope, from a human point of view, that never happened, but I had great comfort in knowing that my wife was in God’s strong and loving hands. He loves you so much more than I do or I will.

Trust in God’s Promises

We must trust in God’s promises, but we must look at what those promises are. God does not promise that everything will go as we would like in life. Even if God does not promise us a comfortable life, his promises are incredibly comforting. that life’s pains and worries can hit us like a hurricane. In an instant, we are calm and at peace and suddenly the wind of anxiety blows. When Satan attacks, we must remember God’s promises. Romans 8. 32 said: “He who hath not forgave his own Son, but abandoned him for all of us, will he not give us all in his grace with him?”God did the hardest thing you can imagine. He gave up his Son when we were his enemies, so that we could come out of death. so that we can be sure that God will give us everything we need,

When we fear loss, we are like David, who feared that darkness would cover him (Psalm 139:11). Darkness may come, but God lights the light in darkness, because even darkness alone will not be darkness. The same? (v. 12). The Lord is our light in darkness. As Psalm 27. 1 says: “The Lord is the strength of my life; Who should I be afraid of?We have nothing to fear, because death is not the ultimate reality. We serve a God who resurrected Jesus from the dead. We are guaranteed an eternity of good mornings. ” At dusk, crying can come, but does joy come in the morning?(Salt 30. 5).
