Verse of the day: “All the children of Israel murmured. (Numbers 14. 2)
Today there are murmurings among believers, as in the camp of Israel. There are those who, when the rod falls, cry out against the disciplinary circumstance. They ask, “Why am I distressed?” What have I done to be disciplined this way?I’d like to pass a few words on to the whisperer, why are you mumbling against your Heavenly Father’s dispensations?He can treat you harder than you deserve, consider how rebellious you were, but He forgave you!Certainly, if God in his wisdom finds it convenient to discipline him now, you must not whisper. Besides, are you being punished as severely as you deserve for your sins?Consider corruption in your heart, and then you’ll always be surprised that it takes so many lashes to remove it. Weigh yourself and consider the amount of slag mixed with your gold. You think the fire’s too hot to eliminate all the scum you’ve got?Doesn’t your proud, rebellious mind prove that your heart isn’t completely clean?His whispering words are contrary to the submissive and holy nature of the Son of God.
- A correction is required.
- But if you murmur against discipline.
- Be careful.
- For there will be severity for murmurers; God always punishes his children twice.
- If they do not endure the first discipline patiently; but of one thing.
- Rest a sure: doesn’t God willingly grieve?Or will you sadden the children of men? (Lamentations 3.
- 33).
- All divine corrections are sent with love.
- To purify you and draw near to you.
- If you are able to recognize your Father’s hand.
- It will surely be beneficial for you to endure discipline.
- “For the Lord corrects the one who loves.
- And whips every child he receives.
- Is it because of the discipline you persevere (God treats you like children)?(Hebrews 12: 6-7).
- Aren’t you whispering either.
- Like some of them did and were destroyed by the exterminator?( 1 Corinthians 10:10).
