April 18th? God, our hearts

God, touch our hearts

Verse of the day: Saul also went home to Guibea; and a group of men accompanied the one whose heart God had touched. (1 Samuel 10:26)

  • Think about what is said in this verse.
  • God touched them.
  • Not a woman.
  • Not a son.
  • Not a father or a counselor.
  • But God.

He with infinite power in the universe, who has infinite authority, wisdom, love, goodness, purity, and righteousness, it was he who touched their hearts.

How does Jupiter’s circumference affect the edge of a molecule and how much less does it enter its nucleus?

God’s touch is impressive because it’s a touch, it’s a real connection. It’s wonderful that it involves the heart, it’s amazing that it involves Dieu, it’s spectacular that it involves a real touch.

The brave were not only alerted. Not only were they moved by divine influence, they were not only seen and known. God, with infinite condescension, touched their hearts, God was close like this. And they weren’t consumed.

I love that touch. I wish you more, for me and for all of you. I pray that God will touch me again for his glory. I pray it’s everybody’s touch.

Oh, for contact with God! If it comes with fire, so be it; if it comes with water, so be it; If it comes with wind, leave it, O God; if he comes with thunder and lightning, let’s bow to him.

Oh Lord, come on. Come here like this. Burn, water, blow and tons. Or quiet and soft, come on. This comes in all its forms and touches our hearts.
