Verse of the day: So I will be with you; I will not leave you or leave you (Joshua 1. 5)
We often quote these words to Joshua; are the basis of the quote:?He said, Under no circumstances will I leave you, never leave you? (Heb 1:5), which we find in the New Testament.
- Beloved.
- We have a life of war ahead of us.
- But the Lord of armies is with us.
- Are we called to lead a broad but changing people? This promise guarantees us all the wisdom and prudence we will need.
- Have we fought cunning and powerful enemies? In this verse we find power.
- Courage.
- Courage.
- And victory.
- Do we have a great legacy to conquer? With this sign we will achieve our goal: the Lord Himself is with us.
It would really be a calamity for us if the Lord could fail; but, as this will never happen, the winds of anguish sleep in the caves of divine fidelity. At no time does the Lord abandon us. Whatever happens, he’ll be by our side. Friends are moving away from us; your help is like the April rain. Our God, however, is faithful; Jesus is the same forever and the Holy Spirit lives in us.
O my heart, today remains calm and hopeful; clouds can come together, but the Lord can scatter them; since I will not miss God, my faith will not fail either; and since He will never abandon me, I will not abandon Him either. Oh, have a faith to make me rest!
