Verse of the day: Since the way of men is pleasing to the Lord, he reconciles his enemies with them (Proverbs 16. 7).
I must realize that all my ways please the Lord. Even if I’m sure, I’ll have enemies; and perhaps more certainly because of my efforts to do the right thing. But what a wonderful promise I have in this verse! The Lord will provoke the wrath of men to praise and cancel it in such a way as not to harm me.
- It can embarrass an enemy to stop hurting me.
- Even if that enemy had that target in mind.
- God did this to Laban.
- Who pursued Jacob.
- But dared not hurt him.
- Or he can control the wrath of an enemy and make him friends.
- As he did with Sau.
- Who went out fraternally to meet Jacob.
- Although he fears that Sau.
- With his sword.
- Will attack him and his family.
- The Lord can also turn a furious enemy into a brother in Christ and collaborator of God’s work.
- As He did with Saul of Tarsus.
- May God do this wherever a spirit of persecution manifests himself!.
Blessed is the man whose enemies are placed in a calm and harmless attitude, similar to the attitude of the lions in the hole where Daniel was thrown. When I have to face death, considered the worst of all enemies, I ask God that I will be at peace, I just need to show enough zeal to please the Lord in all things. Let us put ourselves by more faith and holiness, for it is a delight for the Most High!
