April 12th? He’ll remember

Verse of the Day: I will forgive you for your iniquities and sins that I will never remember (Jeremiah 31. 34).

When we know the Lord, we receive forgiveness for our sins; We know him as the God of grace, who forgets our sins; How much joy this discovery brings to our hearts!

  • As this promise has been divinely given: the Lord never promises to remember our sins again! Can God forget? He says he will; God will regard us as if we have never sinned.
  • The Great Atonement has so effectively eliminated every sin that.
  • In God’s mind.
  • Sin no longer exists.
  • The believer is now in Christ Jesus.
  • As accepted as Adam in his state of innocence; yes.
  • And more.
  • Because the believer is clothed in divine justice.
  • And Adam’s righteousness was only human.

The great Lord will never remember our sins again to punish them or to love us a little less for them; just as a debt, once paid, ceases to be debt, so that the Lord achieves a complete elimination of the wickedness of his people.

When we lament our faults and sins (and it is our duty to live in this world), we must at the same time rejoice in the fact that such sins and faults will never be mentioned against us; that makes us hate sin. God’s gratuito free forgiveness makes us anxious never to be saddened by our disobedience again.
