Establish your heart to follow it
I hesitate to use this kind of language with you because I’m afraid you’re wrong. For most Christians, the warning: following God brings thoughts of duty, obedience, and ministry, but only these things have tired, lifeless, and bitter. I’ve been on this road before and I’ll do everything in my power to get you out of it. This leads to a horrible place!
- When I talk about following him.
- I mean mainly him; Recognize it and share each experience with it.
- Commit not to hide from it or leave it outside certain areas of your life; sees everything as sacred and nothing as banal; Let him have a prominent place at every moment of your life.
- Every thought in your head.
- Every word that comes out of your mouth and every job you strive to do: walk.
- Talk.
- Eat.
- Drink.
- Laugh.
- Scream.
- Work.
- Play?Experience all this in Him.
- For Him.
- For Him.
- And especially with Him!.
Do you know how you can do something for the wrong reasons? You can have a ministry for personal satisfaction or for the fame it can bring. You can even grow in knowledge and piety because of the reputation this can bring you among other believers. But it is the true and faithful heart that seeks to be with him only because of the motivation to be with him!
You can think of me as a mature Christian, who has learned many things, but I have made a mistake in many ways, and that was my biggest mistake: I always worked hard to achieve something, when I should have worked hard just to be Yes, my dear young Christian, you can even lose precious moments of your life in ministry and missionary work!
Remember this: confining God to a moment of meditation is grotesque, reducing discipleship to mere obedience is pathetic, and making ministry something different from the life of Christ that arises from your intimate relationship with him does nothing but a job. Stupid meat.
