Verse of the day: It is good for man to carry the yoke in his youth (Lamentations 3. 27).
These words are as good as a promise. It has been and will continue to be good for me to sustain the yoke.
- Very early in my life.
- I felt the weight of the conviction of sin and since then the yoke has proven to be something that enriches the soul.
- I would not have loved the gospel intensely if I had not known.
- Through deep experiences.
- The need to be saved by grace.
- Jabes was more illustrious than his brothers because his mother gave birth to him in the midst of much suffering.
- Those who suffer too much to be born of God become fervent believers in sovereign grace.
The yoke of disapproval is very exhausting, but prepares man for future honor. He who has not suffered the discipline of contempt is not prepared to be a leader. Praise the poisons, if they are not preceded by an insult. going through struggles, they are elevated to the rank of eminence that often fall into disgrace.
The yoke of affliction, disappointment, and overwork is by no means sought after by the people, but when the Lord puts this yoke upon us during our youth, He often develops in us a character that glorifies God and blesses the Church.
For my soul, you must bow before God and take your cross; if she was good to you, when she was still young, she will not hurt you now; for the love of Jesus, place it joyfully on your shoulders.
