Verse of the day: Separate. (2 Corinthians 6. 17)

The believer, although in the world, is not of the world. You must distinguish yourself from the world for the great purposes of your life. For the believer to live he must be Christ (see Philippians 1:21). Whether he drinks, eats, or does something else, the believer must do everything for the glory of God (see 1 Corinthians 10:31). You can accumulate treasure, but in paradise, where neither moth nor rust corrode, and thieves cannot dig or steal (see Matthew 6:20). You may want to strive to be rich, but your ambition should be to enrich yourself in faith (see James 2. 5) and good works (see 1 Timothy 6:18). You can enjoy the pleasures; however, when you rejoice, sing psalms (see James 5:13) and, in your heart, sing melodies to the Lord (see Ephesians 5:19). In your spirit as in your designs, you must be different from the world, humbly wait on your God, always aware of your presence, rejoice in communion with him. By seeking to know his will, you will prove that you are a member of the celestial race. It must also be separate from the world in its actions. If something is right, you should do it, even if you will suffer losses. If something is wrong, even if it results in gain, you must reject sin out of love for your Lord. You must not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rebuke them. Walk worthy of your calling and position (see Ephesians 4. 1). Remember, believer, you are a son of the King of kings. So keep clean from the world. Do not stain the fingers that will soon touch the heavenly strings. Do not let your eyes, which will soon see the king in his glory, become windows of lust. Don’t let your feet, which will soon be walking the golden streets, get stained in muddy places. Do not allow your heart, which will soon be filled with heavenly things and overflowing with joy, fill with pride and unhappiness.
