6 Tips for Reading

I really don’t remember a time when I didn’t like reading books. I know I was eager to learn to read and quickly found myself immersed in the world of books and literature. Could it have been a kind of seduction?Should the Christian disciple always be looking for books that deserve the attention of a disciple of Christ?and there are many of these books.

As Solomon urged us: “Is there no limit to book creation?(Ec 12:12). It is impossible to read everything that exists and everything that exists does not deserve to be read. I say this to oppose the concept that anyone, anywhere, can master the content of everything they read. I read a lot and a lot of the time I’m awake I spend reading. Some early suggestions

1. Keep reading plans regular. I organize my reading strategies into six categories: theology, bible studies, ecclesial life, history, studies of cultures and literature, I still have ongoing projects, in each of these categories, I select books for each project and read them from one end to the other for a period of time, this helps me to have discipline in my readings and allows me to work in different fields.

2. Working with larger parts of the Écritures. Je completes a series of exhibitions in the book of the Romans, preaching to the verse afterwards. I have preached and taught several books of the Bible in recent years and I plan my readings to continue I am moving on to the book of Matthew, gathering information, and moving forward?I have not yet planned any specific messages, but I read to absorb as many valuable works as possible about the first gospel. I’m constantly reading books of biblical theology, and exe grateful studies.

3. Read all the works of some authors. Choose wisely, but identify a few authors whose books deserve your attention. Read everything they wrote, observe how their minds work and how they develop their thoughts. No author can complete his thoughts in a book, no matter how long.

4. Buy a large collection and read all volumes. Yes, invest in the works of Martin Luther, Jonathan Edwards and others. Create a project for yourself and read the full collection. Spend time on it. You’ll be surprised to see that you’ll go further than planned, in less time than you think.

5. Let yourself read something to entertain yourself and learn to read beautiful books. I like many areas of literature, but I like to read biographies and historical books in general. In addition, I greatly appreciate quality fiction and recognized literary works. As a child, I probably discovered my love of reading through these kinds of books. Whenever I can, I spend a little time every day reading. I live with a little excitement.

6. Take notes in your books, highlight them; show them that these are your books. Books are intended to be read and used, not collected and licked. Make an exception for these rare ancient books, those that are considered treasures because of their antiquity. Do not leave pen marks on an old page and do not use marcatext on a manuscript. Invent your own system or copy it from someone, but learn how to interact with the book, pen in hand. I’d like to write more about this topic, but I have to continue my Reading. I’ll be back with him later. For now: Tolle, lege!
